The First Visit
Upon the patients first visit, a spinal xray may be requested if needed. If the patient has had x-rays taken, please bring the x-rays with to the consultations. The x-rays allow the chiropractor to properly examine any structural abnormalities, degeneration and displacement of the spine, which may contribute to the patient’s symptoms or show any contraindications for spinal adjusting.

The chiropractor will discuss the x-ray in full with the patient and answer any questions the patient may have.

A case history will be taken and a clinical exam will be conducted.

A treatment plan will be discussed with the patient, this will include spinal and/or extremity adjusting with/without a combination of the following:
• Ischaemic compression
• Dry Needling
• Sports massage therapy
• Stretching exercises
• Kinesio taping
• Flexion distraction therapy

A home management plan will be discussed with the patient, which will include correct postural advice, prevention and maintenance advice which will contribute to a healthy spine and well-being.
